Studio Policies and Procedures

New Tuition Policy

Effective January 1st 2020, all students MUST HAVE A CREDIT CARD ON FILE.  Each family has the option to pay either cash or check within the 2 week grace period.  If payments are NOT made within the 2 week grace period your credit card on file WILL BE CHARGED WHAT IS OWED. This year we are going to 3 payments per dance year. Tuition payments are due the first class of each session with the first payment due at registration.  Students with outstanding accounts will not be admitted to class. We accept Visa , Mastercard and American Express.  There will be a 3% convenience fee on all credit card transactions. There will be a $20.00 return check fee payment and a $20.00 late payment fee per month for outstanding tuitions.  There will be no combining discounts this year.  Effective January 1, 2020.  There will be no refunds after January 1, 2020. 

The payment schedule is as follows:

Payment #1 due upon registration as well as a $50 per costume, costume deposit

Payment #2 due week of  November 18, 2019

Payment #3 due the week of February 10th , 2020

 

Costume Deposit

A costume deposit of $50.00 per costume, per dancer is required with your first tuition payment.  Final costume payments must be made in December.  All costumes are ordered over Holiday Break.  If  costume balances are not paid in full before holiday break, your child's costume will not be ordered.

 

Dance Recital

In May we will be having our annual dance recital.  This is a very exciting time for the girls to showcase everything that they have learned through out the year.  If your child is going to participate in our recital you are required to purchase a costume.  Tickets must also be purchased for the recital. Children under the age of 3 are free, however they must sit on a parents lap.  If you require a seat for that child, a ticket is needed.  No strollers are allowed in the auditorium.  All outstanding balances must be paid in full before purchasing tickets.

 

E-mail and Correspondences

All About Dance has gone GREEN effective 09/15/09.  We do most of our communication ie: tuition statements studio announcements, through e-mail (misslisa@allaboutdance1.com).  Please make sure that we have your latest e-mail address and you check them frequently.

Parent Portal: Please make sure you have access to your parent portal. You can access your Parent Portal through our website's HOME page!  

New this year: We understand everyone has questions, but effective 08/01/2019, if you email, text or call on a Sunday, you will NOT receive a response until Monday.  Sorry but we all need a day off! 

Please be mindful that our cell phones are our personal accounts.  Although we are happy to answer questions, all studio related questions should go through the studio phone 781-592-3262 during business hours.  

Vacations and Holiday Schedule

All About Dance observes all legal holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and all regular school vacations.

  • Wednesday, October 9th - Yom Kippur

  • Monday, October 14th - Columbus Day

  • Thursday, October 31st - Halloween

  • Monday, November 11th - Veteran's Day

  • Wednesday, November 27th-30th - Thanksgiving

  • Monday, December 23rd-January 5th - Winter Break

  • Monday, January 20th - Martin Luther King Day

  • Monday, February 17th - Saturday 22nd - February Vacation

  • Friday, April 10th - Good Friday

  • Monday, April 20th-26th - April Vacation

 

Attendance / Class Make-up

Attendance is very important. Classes are not transferable and there are no make-up classes for classes missed for any reason (unless accompanied by a Doctor's letter). There is no refund for missed classes at your discretion. In case of absence, please call the school and leave a message. Make-up classes will be available only if the All About Dance cancels the class.  If there are excessive holidays that fall on a particular dance day, classes may be made up if scheduled through Miss Lisa. Make up classes must be scheduled at least a week in advance.

 

Notices and Cancellations

Important school notices will be sent via email.  Please make sure your email address is updated on our Parent Portal. Notices, cancellations, schedule changes will always be posted on the school bulletin and on Facebook at our All About Dance Family page as well as our Facebook All About Dance business page. In case of BAD weather dance classes are canceled when NO SCHOOL announcements are made in Swampscott. Make-up classes will be posted in case of school closings.

 

Waiting Area

Please do not bring food or drink into the waiting area or studio. This includes gum and candy. Please make sure your children do their part in making this possible. All About Dance is peanut free.  Absolutely no peanut products are allowed in the school. Sibling must be supervised at all times.

You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend All About Dance and its officers, agents, servants, employees and independent contractors from any claims resulting from injuries including death, damages and losses sustained by you or your minor child that arise out of, in connection with, or in any way associated with the activities of this program.
